Strawberry Oat Smoothie

If you are looking for a yummy way to maintain your optimum weight, then this strawberry oat smoothie has it all:

  • Chia seeds to give you omega-3
  • Strawberries that are low in calories, contain virtually no fat but are high in antioxidants, and
  • Oats to boost your protein.

Starting your day with a good, healthy supply of protein will help you to control your appetite (i.e.: lose weight), support your metabolism and assist your body with blood sugar regulation.

Strawberry Oat Smoothie

Serves 2


  • 75g soya yogurt (or other yogurt of your choice)
  • 25g oats, gluten-free
  • 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 200g strawberries
  • Juice of 2 oranges
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 Tablespoon chia seeds, soaked in 1 Tablespoon of water for about 10 minutes.


  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and whiz until smooth.
  2. Add some water if it is too think.

Time saver tip

  • This smoothie will keep in the fridge for upto two days.
  • It is delicious poured over granola too.
