Happy New Year!

I hope you have had a fabulous Christmas and that you are welcoming in 2015 in style.

I am in Rome, Italy, at the moment, sitting on our balcony over looking one of the old town piazzas – just amazing.

With the party season coming to an end, I am ready to return to my healthy living and daily yoga practice. I have many plans and projects on the books for 2015 (more on this next week). But at the moment, what my body is craving is a wholesome post party smoothie.

This post party smoothie is full of good nutrients that will cleanse and restore your body and taste buds to welcome in 2015.

Post Party Smoothie

Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon acai berry powder
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1-2 Tablespoons cacao powder
  • 3 Tablespoons almond meal (ground almonds or almond flour)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup coconut water
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds, soaked in 2 teaspoons of water for approximately 10 minutes
  • 1 medjool date, seed removed.

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in your blender and blitz until smooth and creamy.  Enjoy.
