Happy New Year!

I hope you have had a fabulous Christmas and that you are welcoming in 2015 in style.

I am in Rome, Italy, at the moment, sitting on our balcony over looking one of the old town piazzas – just amazing.

With the party season coming to an end, I am ready to return to my healthy living and daily yoga practice. I have many plans and projects on the books for 2015 (more on this next week). But at the moment, what my body is craving is a wholesome post party smoothie.

Christmas Day Hot Chocolate

Happy Christmas day!

I hope you and your loved ones are having a fabulous day and celebrating in style.

Here in the UK, it is winter and I am hoping that snow will fall to create a white Christmas. Following our Christmas day lunch we are planning to rug up and take a little walk in the late afternoon, just as the day light is going and the Christmas tree lights are being turning on. Magical.

After our Christmas day walk, I am planning to make this indulgent hot chocolate to warm us up and keep the festivities going.

I love the smell of Christmas biscuits baking. It remind me of when I was little and the excitement that went with preparations for having our Christmas feast with family and friends. Traditionally, our Christmas tree went up on the 1st of December, followed by letters to santa and the baking of sweet treats.

These vanilla biscuits are a traditional German biscuit that my family would make only at Christmas time. Having them only once a year makes the pleasure of baking them, and subsequently eating them, even more divine.
